mommy boobs.

sure, the title of this may make you chuckle. it's kool. the whole situation is pretty comical, actually. i'll just say it, straight up: i've never had boobs. not big ones, anyway. i was barely filling a B cup when i got pregnant. during my pregnancy, i waited and waited for my chest to suddenly sprout these huge, juicy watermelon boobs; they never came. the biggest i got was large-ish oranges. after Gee got here, i breastfed her for two months. when i stopped and the milk built up, my boobs were large-ish oranges again. then, to my dismay, i was back to my barely B's. i should've prefaced this by saying that my mama hyped me up. she told me that she, too, had the barely B's until after she had me and my sister, so i just thought that i'd have the baby and the boobs would come automatically. fast forward to today. it seems like, all of a sudden, instead of barely B's, i have overflowing B's! what!?!? mama said it's probably got something to do with the weight gain. yeah, i imagine an extra 35 pounds will do that to you. BUT, she also said that they wouldn't go away when (not if, but when) i lose the weight. weird, right? right. i think i've said enough on the subject; i just had to get this off my chest. that's right, pun TOTALLY intended. laugh it up :D

in other news, i'm watching "Toddlers & Tiaras" on TLC. i would say we were watching it, but baby Gee is sound asleep on the couch next to me. yes, i should put her in the bed, but since i've forced myself to leave her in her crib all night, is it a crime to want to snuggle up with my boo-bear? :) anyways, back to T&T. kudos to the mama who decided to keep her 3-year-old natural in a glitz pageant. she didn't get her nails done or use fake hair (or teeth); she did her daughter's hair herself and used minimal makeup. i loved how adamant she was about making sure that her daughter "looked like herself". watching this show, some of those mothers will do ANYTHING to their daughters and spend grossly ridiculous amounts of money. for what? a crown that they don't have room for and a measly $500, maybe $1000. when you spend $5000 for all of the pageant accessories, outfits, preparation, etc., YOU ARE NOT MAKING A PROFIT. ugh. if i ever put Gabriela in a pageant, i'd definitely take after this mom and keep her natural. my baby is beautiful as she is, and if the judges can't see that, it's their loss. why should I spend MY money trying to please people only seemingly pleased with the girls whose parents are the most willing to waste their money on spray tans and excessive props and clothes? don't worry, i'll wait... :)
